"On Monet's Porch" Watercolor, 2010, Marjorie Glick 22"x30"
This is my most recent watercolor bringing to mind Giverny, France. I was fortunate to teach a workshop there in 2009. This is the first WC in a new series of watercolors that I will begin later in 2011. Giverny is an amazing place. It is an intentional garden, planned by Claude Monet, sited to be backlit at twilight with trellisses, walkways, and plantings deliberately chosen so they could be painted. This is heaven for an artist! |
